Top 5 Ways to Christmas in TopsailThere are some holiday traditions and components you can take with you everywhere you go. Music, recipes, favorite movies, even some decorations are easily packed and brought to the beach. However, some aspects of the holidays are not so easily transported. For that reason we have scoured for five of the best events and festivals to help you have a holly jolly Christmas no matter where you are!

1. Sneads Ferry Winter Fest

 Sneads Ferry is hosting their Annual Winter Fest on December 12th and 13th! Christmas tree lighting, pancake breakfast with Santa Claus, arts and crafts show, and live entertainment are only some of the delights waiting for you at this festival that has become a favorite for locals and visitors alike. For more details and the official schedule be sure to pick up a local newspaper while you're in town.

2. Christmas Parade

Topsail Beach is thrilled to announce this year will be the 10th Annual Christmas Parade. December 7th at 11 am is kick off time for another local favorite holiday event! Local clubs, organizations and offices compete for the best float with people on foot around them passing out favors. The Topsail community throws themselves into the parade with abandon making the holiday displays, floats, routines, costumes and music all one infectious holiday experience you don't want to miss.

Candle light christmas service in Topsail3. Poplar Grove Plantation Candlelight Evening Tours and Portraits

Meander through Polplar Grove Plantation Candlelight Evening Tours with period appropriate decorations and holiday cheer. Tour tickets require advance reservations and tours are only Friday and Saturday at 5 pm, 6 pm, 7 pm, and 8 pm. While the holiday tours are only held on the weekends, the grounds are open for regular tours throughout the week and are still decorated. If you can't make it for a holiday tour you can book a one of a kind family portrait. The Picture will be taken inside the manor by Tammy Bunn! Each 15 minute session is $65 and includes 5 pictures and unlimited digital downloads. 4. Jingle Bell Ball

This year support the Topsail Historic Society with the Jingle Bell Ball! Live music, great food, and a chance to dance the night away all to support keeping Topsail the way it is. The South has a proud history and a charming air to our hospitality and we are thrilled to invite you to experience it personally, while we strive to preserve it.

Join us Saturday December 12th at 8 am for pancakes, juice, and sausage with crafts for the kids with Mr. and Mrs. Clause! Breakfast with Santa tickets are on sale in advance for $5 or $6 at the door. Similarly to the Jingle Bell Ball, the proceeds from Breakfast with Santa go to enhancing the community. To that end, donations of canned goods, nonperishable gifts, unwrapped gifts and additional monetary donations will be accepted for the Community Holiday Assistance Program!
